Longtime Kankakee business owner Norm Graham, who said he hasn't left for a lunch in 10 years, said he's looking forward to cooking dinner for his wife, and maybe taking her out for lunch come May 1 when the building is set to be sold.

KANKAKEE — Even Norm Graham cannot run a business forever.

But he certainly gave it a try.

Following a 30-year career in Kankakee selling furniture and manufacturing lighting, Graham is selling his city-based business, Graham Furniture, 189 W. Court St.

Norm Graham returns to building furniture after finishing lunch Friday afternoon at his store, Graham Furniture, on West Court Street. After 30 years of business in Kankakee, Graham will retire this year with his building set to be sold May 1.
