Parkhurst's Kankakee office receives threatening

KANKAKEE — Kankakee police are investigating a letter sent to state Rep. Lindsay Parkhurst’s office in Kankakee on Tuesday.

According to a police report, Parkhurst’s communications director, Justin Krolik called police after “a letter of concern” was found by staff at the office located in the 300 block of East Court Street.

Parkhurst said in a statement to the Daily Journal: “Our office was one of many statewide offices to receive the threatening letter. We immediately reported it to the Illinois State Police and local law enforcement. Our state faces many challenges. Resorting to threats of violent ...
