Kankakee delays first classroom day for

Kankakee retrasa el primer día de clase para

KANKAKEE — Upperclassmen at Kankakee High School will not be in the classroom for their first two weeks of school because of construction.

Sophomores, juniors and seniors will begin the school year online on Aug. 22. They will use their Chromebooks and check in with teachers virtually. Their first day in the classrooms will be Sept. 4.

Students still will be able to meet with teachers during office hours. They also can gather at public spaces, such as the Kankakee Public Library.
