Former BBCHS student setenced to probation for

KANKAKEE — A former Bradley-Bourbonnais Community High School student was sentenced to 30 months probation after she pleaded guilty for threatening to blow up the school in April 2017.

Jacqueline M. Bertrand, 19, pleaded guilty to one count of felony disorderly conduct on June 25, according to assistant prosecutor Johnathan Watson. Bertrand was facing a sentence ranging from probation up to three years in prison.

Bertrand can have no contact with the school or the school administrator she made the threat to via social media, Watson said.

A message was sent by Bertrand to a school administrator during the weekend of April 29-30 that a bombing or explosion was going to occur at school on May 2.
