Anti-drug agency gets state money

KANKAKEE — A local drug treatment agency will get $400,000 from the state to help people deal with their addiction to opioids and other drugs.

Meanwhile, the Duane Dean Behavioral Health Center in Kankakee is preparing to merge with a Chicago organization. The local agency is struggling as a result of a lengthy impasse that ended last year.
