Alleged puppy mill owner pleads guilty in Indiana

KENTLAND, Ind. — An alleged puppy mill owner who sold puppies in Kankakee, Will and Cook counties pleaded guilty to a felony cruelty to animal charge in Newton County, Ind., in April.

Judge Daniel J. Molter sentenced Pat Gorecki to 18 months probation on April 30, according to Newton County Prosecutor Jeffrey Drinski.

Molter ordered Gorecki to refrain from breeding, distributing or owning any dogs. Any police or probation officer can check Gorecki’s home at any time.

If found in violation of probation, she goes back to jail, Drinski said.
